Hi everyone

Recently I contacted hudson to improve the way sms/mms is counted but hudson stated that the matter will only be looked into if enough users requested for it. So, here goes... anyone who agree, please reply to the post.

Request:
1. Count sms by sms parts (normally 160 letters per sms).
2. Count mms by size (ex, 50kb per mms).

Under my current contract, I basically pay for 300 minutes a month (things work a little different in the Netherlands).

I get charged 1 minute for 1 (160 character) SMS & 2 minutes for 1 MMS sent.

Personally, I would rather see them fix the current bugs with the SMS counter not working properly and other bugs like losing the minutes logged after a soft reset or going into the settings without changing anything before they start adding more bells and whistles.

Yes, I agree with you there but without the feature I am talking asking for, the counter seems to be useless.

It would be useless of I send a sms which is 400 letters long but it is counted as only 1 sms where it should have counted as 3.

Same goes to mms. What if my mms is 100kb? (my provider charges me by 50kb). Instead of 2 mms, it would have counted as 1.

The same goes for me:

- 200 minutes per month
- 1 SMS (160 char.) charged 1 min
- 1 MMS ??
- unused minutes to the next month
(has to be used that next month or you lose them)

However I would prefer the correction of the SMS-parts counter.

The others would be nice.

Well I have unlimited TXT/FLIX but I also agree it needs to be addressed
