Kaiser/TyTnII tethering?

I currently have a Samsung i730 on vzw and can tether OK in some places using pdanet. I say ok, because it usually like 56K modem or less and drops connections a lot and when it drops I have to reboot the entire phone.

Anyway, I'm wondering if anyone out there has tethered with ATT with good results and if we will be able to tether this device?

What is ATT's policy on this and what is the service like?

WM6 has a tethering app built in that works well, but AT&T (like all the other providers in the US) will charge you an extra monthly fee on top of the data plan for tethering. You're supposed to be paying it no matter HOW you're doing tethering; PDANet just happens to slip under their radar.

you'd probably have to have ridiculously high bandwidth to get caught tethering .. as far as i know they have no technical means to know if you are tethering or just working from the PDA

FYI - Spoke with AT&T yesterday - There support said to forget about the AT&T tethering Applicaiton and had me create a short cut to Internet Sharing in the Windows directory... WORKS GREAT - I have only tried over Bluetooth.

Has anyone had any success in Tethering via USB to a Vista PC? I seem to be having trouble with Windows Mobile Device center interfering.

There's an Internet Connection Sharing App in WM6. On the Tilt, it's not in the Programs menu, but you should find"IntShrUI.exe" in the Windows folder. See if that gets you what you're looking for.

Tethering

When I purchased the Tilt, my sales rep said it was easy to tether using the AT&T Communications Manager. That said, I have not been able to do it.

How could you tether from a Laptop using the Tilt as a modem? I would appreciate if someone could provide a step by step process and know that others would also appreciate it.
