For some reason, videos that work on my old 6700 WM5 no longer plan on my Tilt with the WM6.1 "upgrade". I've tried soft and hard reset and the videos will not play. So finally, I went back to the WM6.0 and the videos play fine! The video extensions are ".3gp".

I hate to be back on the old WM6.0 so is there anyway for WM6.1 to be able to play ".3gp" videos?

Try TCPMP for videos. I don't watch videos on my phone myself, and use HTC Audio Manager for music, but I understand that app is far superior to Windows Media Player for diversity and usefulness.

I'm actually wondering if there's some sort of "new feature" in 6.1 that they don't tell us about (or removal of feature in this case). It's weird, but I've gone back to 6.1 just to see if in fact, the videos won't work... and certainly, they don't. So I went back to 6.0 once more. Is there a place anywhere that gives a full accounting of what changed in 6.1 (and not just the "summary" as we see in the upgrade page)?

This ROM update is intended for the AT&T Tilt only and users should not load or attempt to load this version on any other device as it may cause serious issues/damage.

There is nothing saying anything about the Windows Media Player being changed. Maybe it's "imbedded" in the WM6.1?
