I just upgraded to 6.1 and am trying to see if HTC Home will work for me instead of the spbPhone and mobileSuite that I was using.

Right away I notice that Home does not have a voice mail icon with the Mail, SMS and missed calls icons... and those icons could be a little taller for finger presses. Also, I would lover to get rid of the clock (my eyes are still pretty good) and use that space for something else. I have loaded HTC Home Config (FINAL version) and although it appears to let you disable the clock, it does not work... and I see no way of adding a new count icon for voice mail.

Am I missing something here? I see reference to editing some xml file directly to get more flexibility with HTC Home, but find no documentation on it... can anyone point me in the right direction?

Take a look at XDA-Developers. They've got lots of details on things like that in the Kaiser forum. Just be warned to search hard first - they can be rough on folks that don't.

"HTC Home Customize" in the Google search for the forum should probably find interesting stuff.

I changed the default language with HHC and after that both Quickdial and Weather started to work properly.
