Can the sliding sound be modified?

Back in the day I was a kyo 7135 user. One of the greatest things of that flip phone was the ability to change the sounds related to opening and closing the handset. There was something so endearing about hearing "Kirk Here.." when you opened it and hearing the beep/click comunicator sound when you closed it. So enter the tilt, hey its got a sound function for the keyboard slide too. Rock on, and after a week of trying, I can't seem to customize the sounds . The tilt has the lousy harpsichord and such, but is there a way to use a custom file instead?

Yes -- there are some registry entries which contain the names of sound files that are played when the device is opened. You should be able to add entries for your preferred sounds.

IIRC, the registry settings are documented over at XDA-Developers.

The attached cab file will install additional sounds and make them selectable. You can uninstall if you get tired of them.
