I just moved to Texas and I get here and my phone's touch screen just stopped working... i can see the picture/menus but the touch screen function doesnt happen.
I tried taking the battery out and what not but i cannot seem to get it fixed...

Is this a known problem? or is there something else i can do?

Use the directional pad to fire up Settings - Screen - Calibrate Screen and see what happens. It's possible the touch screen died, but unlikely.
