Exclamation BIG PROBLEM WITH MY TILT I THINK???

After a i did a hard-reset, my tilt would not activesync with pc... thought it was nothing did a soft reset, still not working... did another hard reset and still not working... When i connect my device to the pc via usb i get a pop-up bubble that says "USB Device Not Recognized... One of the USB devices attached to this computer has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize it for assistance in solving this problem, click this message." I click and it says "Try reconnecting the device. If Windows still does not recognized it, replace the device."

Has anyone else had this problem and how can i correct it.

Have you tried rebooting Windows? I get this on occasion and usually rebooting the PPC or the PC does the trick.

Activesync has had problems for years synchonizing through USB especially if a USB hub is involved. That's because the advanced network functionality is turned on by default. I usually turn this off by going into settings, connections, USB to PC and unchecking the box. Activesync then syncs as a USB device.

If you aren't on ActiveSync version 4.5, go download it. If you're running Windows Vista, don't use ActiveSync at all and get Windows Mobile Device Center.

Don't connect to a USB port on a hub, only use the ones directly attached to your computer.

Google "ActiveSync Firewall" and follow any of the tutorials you'll get to open up the right ports on your personal firewall to allow proper identification of your device and communication with the device.

One of the above is very likely to fix your problem.
