Hi everyone, I'm hoping I can get an answer on this forum, because AT&T doesn't know the answer at this point....

All of a sudden, the Instant Messaging feature completely stopped working. When I tap it from my Today screen, nothing happens. Then, I tried to add it from my menu (Settings, Menus) to access it from there.

When I tap it from the menu, I get this error:

The file 'PocketPC2003' cannot be opened. Either it is not signed with a trusted certificate, or one of its components cannot be found. If the problem persists, try reinstalling or restoring this file.

Help?!

What instant messaging app is this? Microsoft's? Or someone else's. It sounds like a file was deleted/changed/corrupted somehow. If you know the app and can get your hands on the install file, a reinstall may fix it.

Otherwise, you could back up the data/phone and hard reset to bring it back if it's a part of the "stock" ROM.

I had a similar issue when I cancelled my data plan with AT&T. I have not found a way around it yet.
