HTC has made their updated ROM available via HTC eClub. Rumor has it it addresses graphics and performance issues.

Downloading now, I'll drop a note with thoughts once I've had a chance to apply it.

ROM version from HTC is 3.28.405.0. Radio is 1.65.16.25.

Installed it, got data back on. Running fine & appears a bit faster.

Any disadvantages of going with HTC's version, versus waiting for at&t footprint?

At the moment, I'm not aware of planned upgrade for the Tilt to bring WM 6.1 to the platform. AT&T may customize this, but if so I haven't seen any reports that it's pending.

So you may want to check with AT&T on any plans to update to WM 6.1.

Initially, I assumed that you were updating the ROM of a Tilt (based on your carrier being at&t). So, out of curiousity, I went over to HTCs site, and realized that their update was specific to the TyTN II, and no specifically for the Tilt.

However, I've heard mention from several sources (one of which is Microsoft), that the Tilt will be eligable for an update. The question remains: when?

Fortunately, my experience has shown that at&t are a bit quicker on updates than my previous carrier, Verizon.

WM 6.1 is running great on my Tilt - I replaced my hacked SPL with the standard one, and it corrected the random touchscreen freezing I was experiencing.

Check out XDA-developers if you have a Tilt and want to load 6.1 now instead of later.

This is the last leaked build by at&t which happens to be the last build before the TyTN II official came out. As this is the third version it must be getting close to completion.
