Are you referring to a proxy SMTP address like the one VZW provided for customers? I've yet to run into a need for one on AT&T. Just use the ones provided by your e-mail provider and all should be well. So if you're using Google, it'll be smtp.google.com and their settings.
If you're referring to the information on an AT&T account through their Internet division, it's smtp.att.net, user name is your user name without any domain name, password is your password.

Thanks Perf. I was interested in the proxy settings for CWMX.com, their SMTP server. Apparently they have an app onboard the Tilt that will automate your setup, but as usual, I'm suspicious of anything a carrier provides.
I haven't been able to find any references to how they authenticate users of the SMTP server.
Thanks,
Bob

I haven't found any issues with Cingular's automatic configuration tools, so I wouldn't sweat it. But most mail services out there won't require it if you enable authentication for outbound mail connections.
