Turning our PDA into a remote control

Has anyone heard of turning your infrared PDA into a remote control for your TV and stuff? Does anyone know where to get software or coding for it?

Has anyone heard of unlocking your car door with our PDA as well? Anyone know about it?

Found em

Hey Thanks man!!

The firsrt site pocketgear is nice. I found a remote control program. Going to see how far it will work with my TYTN! All I have to do is find a crack for it.

Theres also another program on there that I saw. It can clock up your pda speed to over 700mhz. It says you need an XScale or TI OMAP Pocket PC. I know our Processor is a samsung, but I don't know if it's an XScale or a TI OMAP. Does anyone know whether our TYTN is this certain type of Pocket PC?

Thanks again and I hope you all find more cool stuff!

BTW, don't find a crack, try the product and if you like it, buy it. Those of us in the software business need to pay the bills too!

I have used VITO Remote on my 6700 and NEVO on my iPAQ before that, but neither work on the 8525. I found Novii Remote to work and works pretty well, it has a real nice feature where it will flip the screen upside down so that the infared port on the bottom points to where you want it.

Oh yeah, that was cool. Also I think you can point the remote control to your pda, and it will receive the signal and learn it. So if you dont have a code book to setup for sony, philips or whatever, you can just do that. Thats crazy!
