Can't Sync my 8525

So i am having terrible problmes getting my 8525 to Sync.

I was on Active Sync 5.0 but everytime i launched active Sync and went to Connection Settings and tried to get it to recognize the phone it would just go through the process then come act like it didn't see it though it did say that the USB conneciton was available. (btw i am connecting it to my windows XP Pro desktop via a USB cable.)

***forgot to mention that I am running MS Mobile 5.0 on the device***

So i uninstalled 5.0 and installed Active Sync 4.2 thinkning a different version would work. When i do conneciton settings i get the same results but now when i try an dlaunch the whole application on my desktop i get the following error:

"This applicaiton has failed to start because MFC80.DLL was not found. Rein-stalling the application may fix this problem."

I have no idea what to do now to try and get my phone synced.

Thanks in advance

Install activesync 4.5. On your 8525 uncheck enable advanced network functionality-it's under connections-usb.
Let me know if that fixes it.
