Compatible Programs for WM6

I just purchased the Japanese version of the TyTn. It came loaded with a pre-release version of WM6. I attempted to load TCPMP on the device and it accpeted it; but when I play back videos it the screen begins to jump around. I don't know if this is a WM6 issue or just something with my phone. Does anyone know of any programs with video play back that will work with WM6. Also the video files that I loaded on my previous device that played in windows media player wont play in windows media player on my phone with WM6. Can anyone help?

I'm running a flashed wm6 (xdadev black) and have had zero problems with any wm5 programs. My understanding is that it's running off of the same MS framework that all wm5 apps are, as opposed to the jump between wm2003 and wm5. Anything that works with wm5 should be fine on wm6

This might be an issue with your device, or it might be a tcpmp... I had to reinstall tcpmp three or four times before it really worked properly.

I am running the same thing. I dont know what it is. I'm pretty sure if i can some how get my music videos to play in WMP then I wouldnt even need a secondary player. I'm gonna try to trouble shoot it and find out whats wrong.

You need to change the video output format in TCPMP to Raw framebuffer and it should work fine. Most of the newer cooked WM6 incorporate a patch which addresses this ATI video issue.

I don't have my phone in front of me but LMK if you're not sure where to change that in TCPMP...

Thanks alot. so far this has worked. At first i didnt think it would, because it wasnt just the video jumping it was the whole screen just all distorted but like I said so far its working pretty cool. I have another question for you. I see you have alot of third party apps running on your device. How do you get them to run smooth without chewing up all of your memory? I had second thoughts about getting this phone and just waiting for the kaiser to come out with the 256 meg, because I was afraid I was going to run into the same problem I ran into on my 6700. It slowed down horribly, I had to always delete programs due to running out of memory. Any ideas? I have this phone running on T-mobile. I didnt even bother getting there tmobile total connect internet package because I don't want to pay $30 a month for internet only at slow edge speeds. I just wait til I'm by a Wifi connection and sync in with that; but there are plenty of third party apps I am interested in getting but I'm worried about limited space.

Actually, I have about 30 third party apps running on my 8525. I'm using a cooked WM6 ROM that provides me with a LOT more storage space (about 55MB). I have also unlocked my Extended ROM for an additional 10MB of storage. I only have a couple of programs that run off my storage card.

That gives me plenty of storage space and I'm very pleased with how my phone runs.
