I have tried to do this all day using Resco Reg editor. I read at http://www.pocketpctweaks.com/pocket...command_volume and it just does not work.

I have a Cingular 8525 with WM 6. Voice command does not announce incoming calls at all my phone just rings normally. The registry on mine is hkey_current_user/controlpanel/sound categories/voice command1 I changed Attenuationcategory to 0x1(1)and have intvol at 0x5(5) also tried it at 0x40(40) but no matter what my phone just rings and it does not announce the contact? Any help at all?

I haven't looked at this in the last month or so but this is a known issue where most are waiting on a fix. I had some luck with some suggestions on xda-developers forum and some luck with JETware mobile software but I never got it to work the way it is supposed to.

Supposedly Microsoft is working on a patch.

I have the same problem here with an HTC Hermes. Besides having to speak and listen through the phone when I use MVC (and not through BT) no incoming calls are announced. Tried the reg tweak also but with no success. Went thru all forums and found nothing of help. Any ideas?? Thank you in advance!

i have 8525 and voice command works fine on the phone. incoming calls are announced on the phone but not on the bluetooth. Settings are under properties for voice command

Maybe an obvious question here, but did you make sure that under Start > Settings > Voice Command > Phone > Options that "Announce incoming calls" is checked?

Also, check to make sure that Start > Settings > Voice Command > Phone > Notifications is set to "Announce notifications through device speaker or wired headset only" is checked. Otherwise it will only announce when connected via Bluetooth hands free only.

Again, could be an obvious question but can't hurt to check. I haven't seen this problem w/ the 8525.
