By pressing the larger button on the headset, for about 2 seconds, until I hear a beep. You will notice the voice dial app open, and then you can say " call xyz"

So let me get this straight, you're talking about the built in voice dialing capabilities of the 665, not Voice Command and not the Touch Voice dialing app that requires voice tags? And it has confirmation? Or am I completely confused and imagining things?

I'm talking about the built in Voice Speed Dial application, that requires voice tags. This application can be launched via your Bluetooth headset & will respond to your voice, just as if you were launching it directly from the phone & sending requests through the hardware microphone.

I was afraid that's what you meant. I have been using Voice Command through the headset ever since we figured out how to reg edit the voice speed dial path on the 6700's first ROM. For a moment there I thought you meant the 665 had its own voice dialing capability.
Now, with regard to the voice speed dial, how is it compared to Voice Command? I am really annoyed by the whole no confirmation thing and the volume issue; but I've never given the voice speed dial thing a moments thought, I just assumed it was crap since Sprint provides it (all I thought it was good for was to steal the path). Also the thought of entering voice tags is a bit much--I have hundreds of contacts. Can you use voice speed dial to dial numbers? Which do you prefer?
The built in is pretty limited in what it can do. When I say there is confirmation, I meant yes, it does repeat back the name of the contact you asked it to dial, but it doesn't ask you if the one it selected is the right one or not. No you cannot dial #'s with it. Yes, you can launch applications, and yes adding a hundred tags would be a PITA. There also seems to be a bug, that causes the confirmation to sound totally garbled.
The built in app was selected by HTC, and was developed by Cyberon. It is called VoiceDial. Cyberon also sells another app, called VoiceCommander, which includes many of the features you mention.
I purchased Microsofts Voice Command, long ago for the Mogul. I haven't installed it yet, because I didn't use it that often, and it's a pig of a program.
