tel:// links don't work?

In all my previous PPC and WM devices, I could enter tel:// plus a phone number in notes, or in a calendar entry, and it would make a clickable link that would dial the number. On my XV6900, the links appear to be created, but when I click on them, it just makes a click sound, but nothing opens and the number is not dialed. Do these work for others (something wrong with my phone, maybe a registry entry I messed up) or is this a bug in the product?

Any assistance would be appreciated. I use this regularly when I need to join a conference call, since I can pre-create the access number and pin for the conference bridge in a link, and not need to remember the pin or jump back and forth between the phone app and the appointment when trying to enter it.

Solved my own issue. The proper format is tel:npxnxxxxxx not tel://npanxxxxxx

Missing my sph i500 dearly right now.

HTC throwing the dreaded "...requires you to resyncronize all items..." message and won't stop. I've deselected the sync of email and searched, and searched, to find this is an old common unsolved problem with many WM devices, including the Touch.

Honestly I'm freagin' pissed about it because I just spent the last 2.5 hours fu$king around the internet while on my job so i can get my professional life in order with a half-ass functional PDA. No wonder big firms don't waste time with PPCs.

I'm a nice guy. I really am.

Alright...

I am having some issues with my HTC Touch and I am turning to anyone that can help me.

I purchased the phone in March of 2008 and for about 10 months, used the standard 512mb Micro SD card that came with the phone. I discovered that 512mb really isn't a lot of storage when you are constantly taking pictures and storing attachments from your emails, so I purchased a 2gb micro sd card and that worked for a little while until I discovered about two weeks ago, that this phone will support an 8gb micro sd card. I installed the 8gb card into my phone, and to my dismay, something went awry and it caused my Nav, TV, and On Demand applications to become non-working, so I spent hours and hours going through all of the folders and such in the phone and was able to get those working again.

My issue now that I can not seem to resolve on my own...

For some reason, the two sides of the "cube", all show the same icons as before, but now they all say "on demand" and all take me to the on demand thing that I don't use. I really want to be able to go to those two sides of the cube and not change the icons as the default icons are fine, but be able to press, for instance, the comm manager button and be taken to the comm manager.

This issue is not something major, as all of these applications and/or areas within the phone can be reached through the standard windows style menus, but the cube is amazing and I want it back...

Does anyone know how to restore the cube without performing a hard reset? I have downloaded the cube4.1 configure program thing from user "thisguyinoc" but the 4.1 version has the iPhone style cube and then the standard 3 button side of the cube. I want the standard 6-3-caller sided cube and I want it to work like it did when i got the phone.

If i end up having to perform a hard reset, what are the best ways to back up my email, texts, and contacts from my phone so that i can transfer them back to my phone later? Also, my fear is that if i do perform a hard reset on the phone while the sd card is in the phone, it will flash the card as well, and i really don't want that; should i remove the sd card before performing a hard reset if need be?

Someone please help...

Feel free to email me directly at Timothy_Koch@yahoo.com

Thanks phone gurus!

Tim
