yes I have already done the *2 thing. Sprint is all screweed up and they say that I am not the owner of my account and can't make any changes. So I can't get them to get me a prl update. I can go online and see my account and am definately the owner of the account but they have the phone number assigned to someone else in their system I guess. My signal is so bad I keep getting disconnected everytime. So I searched the forums on how to update my prl but prl is too short of a term to get any results back on it.

So I can't rememember the code or the program to check the prl version. I know once I find the version I can probably download it.

My screen seems washed out in anything but a direct perpendicular point of view. Can someone confirm this is normal or is my screen bad? Thanks.

Screen setting at about 50%.

I found the screen on the 6700 and 6800 are better. This has a very shallow view angle. Also It would be very bad at only 50%. I have to use mine at 80%

This is my 3rd day of owning this device and today I lost all messaging capabilities. I was unable to connect to my exchange server as well. Everything else ran fine during this, including my data connection. After a hard reset, problem resolved.

I was playing with the camera last night and somehow I managed to hang it. I have the camera button mapped to Voice command. And wasn't sure what would happen if I pushed it while camera was up (full screen). It did trigger Voice Command. But then it was hung. I really don't care about the camera but I was curious how good/bad it was.

I'm not complaining overall I love the phone. Rock Solid since I shut off most HTC Goodies. Try Navigating with iGuidance and make several calls via Voice Command over BT and see how your phone holds together.

I can't find where I read it, but a few folks mentioned they can't use the red hangup button if the screen goes black during a call. Mine seems to work fine.

assuming you're not syncing with Exchange, you can stop this by turning off time synchronization in the phone settings:

menu>options>services>time synchronization

the downside is that you'll have to manually keep your clock set.

got rid of my touch. back on my old trusty Treo 700Wx.
maybe in the future if they fix all the little bugs and small software glitches and mis-designs, i will get it again down the road.
or just wait for a newer version of treo windows to come out
