Soo lately, actually just this morning, ive been trying to sync my hotmail emails with my HTC Touch, and ive been getting just errors, It sync's once in a while, but i get the following error most of the times:
Has anyone gotten this error before, i reseted my touch from scratch and still getting an error, is it possibly the hotmail server? Hopefully its not a spam email i opened up this morning on accident that did something to my touch.

Any hep would be appreciated.

I doubt it's a virus or trojan - those don't typically target WM devices.

Sounds like you've either got your password, User ID, or settings wrong. Do you have the account set to use SSL for connections?

Meaning what exactly and how to i check it?? I have my password, user ID right since it syncs once in a while, like 1 out of 10 times it syncs...

First, a stupid question I'll apologize for asking - do you subscribe to Yahoo Mail Plus? That's Yahoo's service that allows POP access to their e-mail. If it's not included in your ISP package or you aren't paying for it, then your problem may be that they occasionally miss that you shouldn't have access and let your connection go through.

If that's not the problem, then my suggestion would be to delete the account completely from the phone, then recreate it. Yahoo requires SSL for both incoming and outgoing mail, so follow and configure every advanced setup link until you see the check boxes for SSL (should be off the servers screen, but the account setup seems to change from initial creation to modifying an account). Thanks for the help, even though I'm having problems with my ''hotmail'' account, and it doesnt need anything special to set it up on my phone, since ive had the phone 1 year and a half, and email has been working great and flawlessly, just since yesterday it gave me errors while i want to sync my hotmail emails.
