How did I turn off the auto-complete for email addresses?

They I am creating a new email address, I used to be able to simply type the person's name, or beginning of the email address, and it would pop up with matching options to auto-complete as I typed. It gave options after 4 letters were typed. Somehow I have turned that off! Any idea how? The only thing I have done recently is uninstall a couple unrelated programs. I uninstalled PCM Keyboard, but I never used it. I always use CooTek.

Any help would be appreciated.

Anybody? example: If I wanted to send an email to pdaphonehome@hotmail.com, all I would have to type was "pdap" and it would pop up with an option to auto-complete the rest. NOTE it picks addresses from my Contacts list. Now, nothing happens when I type "pdap".

Does it do this in all keyboards or only the TouchPal keyboard?

I don't use TouchPal, but I know in the other keyboards, I have to be in ABC mode for autocomplete to work vs T9. Also I remember reading somewhere that with the TouchPal keyboard you have to either add a space or delete the space it puts in, to get the list to pop up.

It does it in every keyboard I have tried. The way it used to work for me with TouchPal, I enter the first 4 letters of a name, and it pops up a list of options from my Contacts List. I've found that if I go into my email accout options, there's a tab Address. And you can tell it where to look for addresses. Either in your contact list, or on a server somewhere. It's almost as if it's not actually going to my contact list! I tried toggling it on and off, soft reset, etc... and it still isn't picking it up. Very frustrating because all my friends have long email addresses!
