Question Boadband card vs Touch reception

At my sisters house I get 0-1 EVDO bars on my Sprint touch (or -105 to -95 on the ##debug#) My touch has a real hard time keeping signal even in 1X

BUT..... my Sisters Sprint Broadband card has good signal and works great.

So the question is....
Does the Broadband card have a better antenna..... OR does the broadband push more wattage because it is not up to your head?

Thanks

They are different technologies & use different antenna's. Sprint Broadband is actually going away soon. If your signal is weak then you might be a long way away from the cell tower your attached too.

to the original poster,

are you talking about the PCMCIA or express card broadband cards or the house version? if the former, the broadband cards' antenna covers more area than the tiny antenna in the phone. the phone will never get the speed you get from the aircard.

if the latter, then 8 is on the money...
