Verizon HTC touch built in xt9 keyboard problem/question

i have a stupid question..i am using the HTC Touch keyboard (verizon)...i can not type any letters, no matter what input method i select (XT9 or multitap) all i get is numbers no letters...this is driving me crazy...did i change something by mistake..how do i type letters again?

If all else fails, do a soft reset...that ought to fix it.

Never heard of a phone just wanting to type numbers, unless you hit the little button on the keyboard that switches from xt9 to abc and then to 123. It being on 123 is the only way why the phone would only display numbers.

I doubt that's your problem though...so try a soft reset and see what happens.

I'm having this same problem too and none of the solutions have worked, including the soft reset
