Hi,
I've searched the forum and can't find an answer to my problem.
I've set up 2 pop emails (corp pop & gmail) and both work in sending & receiving mail.
Now I want to edit the settings such as signature, max download size, download frequency, etc but can't find it anywhere.
I set up the accounts through touchflo/mail/menu/accounts/new account.
I have gone to messaging/menu but there is no "option" field anywhere.
When I go to messaging, there is no "tools" field.
All I have is:
New
Delete
Reply
Forward
Send/Receive
Follow Up
I went to touchflo/mail/menu/accounts/accounts but this just takes me to messaging
I went to the email settings of Activesync but it doesn't show the individual email settings.
I also want to delete a 3rd mail account that I don't want there.
ok, did you install any hacked ROMs or did you modify anything on the phone? have you done a soft reset? did you try the trick i mentioned above--removing the battery for about 2 minutes then reinserting?
there is a messaging icon in the settings tab i believe (going from memory here) you can try that way...
Thanks for your help & patience.
I've done a soft reset and the 2 minute thing.
I have tried all the apps and settings several times over but just can't find it. It came out one time so i know its there somewhere. I just can't find it now.
yeah that why i asked you what ROM you were using.. definitely look over in that thread and maybe search for the answer as someone else may have also had that issue...
Looks like you're installing the new November Roms that he's posted (note he has yet to say they are official yet). I downloaded them today too and had the same problem adding my Hotmail account. It will go about as far as entering your email address and password (sometimes you can go a little further) and then it just crashes back to the email tab again.
I would download the last 'official' rom he has made (Oct 25th?) until he works out the bugs with the new ones. But ya, the November betas he has up are gorgeous (I think he's using the roms from the new phones as a guide for them). I hope it comes out good..
Anyway, download his safer rom for now and see if that works for you. I'm doing the same tomorrow once my battery is up over 50% charge again...

But ya, that new rom looks like the HTC Hero's today screen. It's going to be awesome when it's done, but has a lot of bugs at the moment (what do you expect from a beta?). I had just installed it on my phone as I was rushing off to work, and only discovered after that receiving my emails was a no go.
It's funny when you start to consider having to sit down at a computer to receive emails as an inconvenience...
