HTC Touch home screen vs. TFL3D

I just recently upgraded to the Pro from the Touch and I'm thinking the old Touch home screen was a little more utilitarian. It seems so far that the TFL3D is more difficult to navigate. It's only been 2 days but I wonder if anyone has tried to or found a way to load the old Touch UI on the pro. The Pro UI certainly looks cooler but I'm not sure I would call it more intuitive.

Tflo3d can be annoying for someone who is used to eveything on one screen like must of us winmo users. I had a version of HTC home on my Mogul and liked it very much with today agenda below it.

I will say that I now like TF3D. I will add that I use tf3dconfig to remove some tabs (music, internet, and people) as I use different options for these (nitrogen, opera mobile beta, and voice command).

By cutting the tabs down to 7 and moving programs to the extreme right (instead of one from the right like stock - stupid) - I have come to a compromise that I like. I use these tabs in this order - home, sms, email, album (pics), weather, settings, then programs - it is very nice. I also will add that the music and internet tabs are the most memory-hogging as they cache alot of info, so nuking them also opens up a lot of ram.

I fought using tf3d for a while, but when I made myself use it for a week or 2 and tweak it (like everything else in winmo) it suits my purposes very well.

PS - LOAD A CUSTOM ROM!! - this is not quite as necessary on Sprint as it is on Verizon, but still - I think worth it.

I got a Touch Pro in June from a 6700 that I hacked to look (and work) like an iPhone.

I sort of hated TF3D. It was slow, cumbersome, looks sort of amaturish and just sort of sucked.

I was all set to dump it and hack the TouchPro to make it look like an iPhone when I ran across SPBMobileShell.

SPB Mobile Shell » Products » SPB Software

I LOVE Mobile Shell. In my opinion, its not only the best interface for WinMo, its one of the best interfaces for ANY phone - including the iPhone. It was worth every penny of the $30.

Its stable, runs fast, easy to use and adds an incredible amount of functionality in a very easy to configure package.

Im not sure why HTC or Verizon or WinMo or someone doesn't license this and include it on every phone they sell.

People seem to hate WinMo because they complain about the interface "sucking" - which out of the box it does. This software changes all that.
