Do these programs offer better power management, or just monitering? I know that I could cruise over to xda and look, but I just dont feel like reading a 30 page long thread. I was hoping someone here could give me the cliffs notes. Thanks

Did we ever find out if this helps with battery life?

Nuebattery just monitors. Still the best thing to save battery life is to install a task manager like Magic Button, run it once or twice, then disable it so the program is on your TP but doesn't start up. It changes something in the registry that doubles your battery life, but I don't really know what (don't care either as long as it works .....)
