playback through ipod interface/dock?

I'm about to pick up a new car that has an iPod interface built-in. Is there any way to play music from my Touch Pro through the iPod interface? I searched on here and PPCGeeks and couldn't find anything. Thanks!

/Kevin

I think it's just a matter of getting the adaptor that turns your mini-usb to a 3.5 mm standard headphone jack. Then just plug it in (you might need a 3.5 to 3.5 cable as well, but I assume an iPod adaptor would come with that). The other option is using bluetooth to connect, if your stereo is capable...

Well that won't plug into the I-pod dock however it will plug into the 3.5mm aux input if your car has it. My GMC has one but I have been using the idiotic bulky stock adapter, I like that one there much better. why not put a 3.5mm adapter on these things? I do wish there was an app and an adapter that would make our phone appear as ipods and be controlled through the stereo like an I-pod/I-phone....

I bought a FPIO Bluetooth adaptor for $10 at Sprint it uses the iPod interface and transmits through bluetooth, it also uses the controls like skip forward and replay.

That sounds awesome. Did you get it online, or at a Sprint store? I didn't know Sprint sold anything that cheap.

(As an aside, WOW, you've been a registered member here for over 5 years and that was your first post!)

Anycom Fipo (white) MP3 Player Accessory reviews - CNET Reviews

this is this is like the one that I got from sprint. you plug it into the dock and then pair it with your phone via BT.

Unfortunately I couldn't find it on the sprint site anymore, I think I paid 10 or so for it originally.

Cheers!!
