questions about the touch pro, coming from the storm

i have the verizon touch pro coming monday and i really loved the storm, especially the things it can do!! ok can i get applications and put them on the screen/phone like i can the storm! can i get instant email notifications like the storm does?? can i get face book on the phone?? also did they ever add visual voicemail?? thanks

Yes to al of your questions except Visual Voicemail, but I'm sure I heard that you can add that app as well. Just doesn't come with the stock phone like others do.

other then a hardware limitation (ie multitouch) - you will be hard pressed to ever find something that another platform can do that win mo cannot. It just may not be as easy to use. But I love it.

Agreed. I was thinking that the Pre would be the new gem that would steal me away from my TP, until I heard that I couldn't even sync it with my computer. I'm sure someone will write an app for that to make it work, but that should be an out-of-the-box option for any smartphone. I've since heard of some buggy issues that one would expect from a new platform, but it does keep me away.

But ya, WinMo can do anything that any other phone can do (save for multitouch at the moment) plus so much more. It can be a wicked learning curve, but once you get it, it's such a powerful tool.
