I installed the new ROM update on my Verizon Touch Pro. Everything appears to work fine besides my threaded SMS. Thos of you who don’t use it a lot may not even notice this. When I receive two or more messages from the same person and then go open the thread and get back out of it, the phone only knocks off one of the messages as read. It doesn’t matter if I respond or not.

So if Gina texts me 4 messages, I open the thread, then get out of it, the thread will still show up as 3 unread. Then I have to click on it and go back 3 more times until it counts all of the messages as read.

It was never like this on the old ROM. Does anyone else either experience this or know of a fix. This is so annoying that I will go back to the old thread before I put up with this. Thank you in advance…

This has been the case for me no matter what rom I am on - stock. custom cooked, or upgrade. I thought that was just the way it was, and yes it is annoying.

Ditto here. Been that way since I got it and tried different ROMs

It never had a problem for me on the original ROM. This seems to be a problem that was introduced in later ROMS.

Once I find a VZW store that has this in stock I am going to get another phone because of a warranty issue. I will check and see if it does it on the old ROM. If not, I dont think I am going to update again unless someone finds a hack or regedit.
