Need help on purchasing an extended battery

I've already read negative things about the HTC extended battery with door, so I'm now looking between the Seidio 1,500 and the 2000. Which should I get?

The 1500 works fine but the difference in life is within the noise level. What scares me with the 2000 is it requires a different back, making the phone much thicker, and doesn't have a protective window over the camera, just a hole. Seems like an expensive accident waiting to happen.

What do you mean within the noise level?

Sorry for the nerd-speak. I just mean that normal usage patterns varies by a few 10's of percent from day to day ("noise" in the battery lifetime "signal") so I can't really tell that the roughly 10% longer life the 1500 theoretically gives me is really there or not.

ive got the seidio extended battery and have had it for several months. no "accidents" at all. and even if i did, thats what the insurance is for. phones like this require insurance... mandatory...

I agree on the opening for the camera. This has acutally kept me from getting the Seidio battery. My current solution is an additional stock battery. Sometimes I need it, sometimes I don't. This works for me as I always have easy access to my vehicle throughout the day, so if I need a swap it's no big deal.

Actually, I probably only swap about 1-2 times a week and this is only on days of really heavy usage (productive or leisure).

I will say I have used Seidio batteries in the past and they have always been very well made as far as I can tell.

Thanks everyone I think I'm going to go for the 1500. Worst case scenario if it isn't that much of an improvement I have a spare battery.
