please read if you have vista 32bit and touch pro and bluetooth and it works

Hay guys I am looking for some help. I for the life of me cannot get bluetooth with vista 32 bit and my dlink bluetooth and my touch pro to work for activesync.
Now I have 2 things.. first I could get help finding out why this does not work or I can buy a new bluetooth adapter that someone already has working. I need to buy a new bluetooth adapter for something else so buying a new one is not that big a deal.
Activesync works fine with cable.
bluetooth workds fine to my bluetooth headset.
my pc shows up on my phone and activesync shows up as a service and it is checked. BUT when I go to activesync and say sync via bluetooth it comes up saying no devie in range. I have tried the add a serial port thing and that did not help.

any and all suggestions are welcomed.

I found that letting WMDC "figure out" the port to use was the problem for me. I had to manually create COM ports for in & out on the PC, then go to the connection settings in WMDC and change the connection settings from "Bluetooth" to the in com port. Then pair with the phone, select the AS service, and it worked.

I'm on a Toshiba M405 with built-in bluetooth and Vista 32. I'd check your firewall logs, delete pairings/partnerships, etc. Bluetooth is such a lightweight protocol that I suspect it's a configuration issue more than an adapter issue.
