Innocell Battery from Seidio

I've had my Innocell 2000mah extended battery (with battery cover) for a few months now, and up until recently I noticed that my phone would occasionally shut off. I had thought I had a bad battery until I realized that it seemed to be shock related - if I dropped it a few inches or happened to shake it fast it would turn off. It turned out that the battery and the case didnt fit right together, creating some space for the battery to move and lose contact with the pins. It was an easy fix: just some electrical tape behind the battery, but I was wondering if anyone else had this problem?

i have an extended battery from seidio that i purchased for the bb curve 8350i and it had the same issue. if i sat it down on the table or whatever just the "right way" the battery would dislodge. i put some gaff tape around one side of the battery and now its snug as a bug in a rug... others notice the same issue on a blackberry forum i frequent... so id say you are not alone on this...

i have a 2000mah extended battery from seidio on the PRO and i just took the cover off and saw the battery was slightly sticking up (not the pins side of the battery but the opposite side). it seems the cover is not snugging the battery in there and is leaving room for it to wiggle and jiggle.. i have NOT, however, yet experienced the battery coming out completely on the PRO. i have had the battery for a few months also... got the BB curve battery in jan...

I'm somewhat relieved to see this is a common occurrence, although disappointed a little in the build quality. My battery experiences the same thing yours does - the bottom lifts up a bit. It never LOOKS like it loses connection with the pins, but it must be doing so because I can repeat it with a slap to the back of the phone (and I CANT do this with my regular battery). I haven't had the problem since the electrical tape solution.

It may not be an issue with most TPs because mine went through some abuse at the hands of a Sprint rep who put the battery in backwards during setup and messed the pins up. They seem to function but they may not stick out as far as they once did, so my phone may be more sensitive than others.

Seidio Batteries are over rated. I've had 2 and they both didn't fit perfectly and didn't last that long.
