Whenever I attach my Touch Pro to my computer (Vista), it only shows the data on my storage card and not the phone itself. How do I turn this feature on? Thanks

which mode are you in? if you go to storage mode, you only see the SD card. if you keep it in ASync mode, you see both.

How do I change the mode?

When you connect the USB cable, it'll prompt you for the mode you want. If you do nothing, you'll end up in AS mode.

yup also go into connections tab and usb to pc icon, in there you can change it as well....

Thanks, I think that did the trick. I need to find another cable to hook to my PC so I won't have to keep taking the one from my charger.

any usb cable will work. i mean ANY.....

I'm confident any usb cable will charge my Verizon Touch Pro but I'm not sure about sync'ing. I used a standard usb cable to sync to my laptop and got the blue screen of death. I suppose that could have been caused by something else. Has it been confirmed that any cable will work to sync and charge?

thats probably caused by something else. i have tried many random usb cables over the years on different flavors of PPC phones and never had any issues...the pro is no different...

its hard to "confirm" "all" usb cables will work but virtually any usb cable you have around your house will work just fine.

The Touch Pro has a different USB cable. I know I can plug any odd one in to it and it works, but I can't use the TP usb cable to plug into my digital camera. I assume the slight change in shape is so you can charge the Pro. Mind you I thought that I could charge my pro with the camera usb cable; might have to recheck that.

no the pros usb cable is designed for the video out. you cant use the PROs cable with another device but you can practically charge the pro and sync it with any usb cable you would have lying around your house...
