Anyone know why my data connection keeps activating on it's own? I can't find what is causing it to connect on it's own. I don't believe push email is active, I don't have it auto checking other email, there is no RSS service active. It's driving me nuts. I keep forcing it closed, but it just activates itself every few minutes.

the phone needs to communicate with the network so it will open the connection as it needs. you SHOULD be able to turn it off and it stays off. i have a pro that's pretty much stock and when i turn off the data it stays off.

it sounds like you have a program that's requesting something OTA so it initiates the call...

there maybe a program that you have installed that is causing this. but if you have a data plan i would not worry about the session anyway.... most of the time if you have your data connection active its not always active.. just look at the arrows and they will let you know what they are active..

Thanks for the tips. Figured it out. The Touch Flo weather thing seems to be the culprit. I switched off the auto update and the data connection doesn't turn itself on and remain connected anymore.
