Interesting, I got the chance to play with the Fuze at the ATT store and came away with a bit of a different impression.

1.) I didn't mind the TF3D theme on the Fuze. Prefer the Sprint version but I could see how others might like the Fuze theme better.

2.) I thought that overall, the Fuze felt cheaper/more plasticy than the Sprint TP (especailly the slider). The Fuze did feel slightly lighter though but I actually like the weight of the Sprint version, gives it a very solid feel IMO.

3.) Agreed

4.) Agreed

6.) Agreed

7.) I thought the keys of the Fuze and the Sprint TP were the same size? The Fuze doesn't have the dedicated number row but in its place is a row of symbols. Still 5 rows of keys though for both devices. Personally, I like the dedicated number row on the Sprint version as I use numbers quite often and having to press the Fn key each time to enter a number was a pain on the Mogul. Glad its not that way on the Sprint TP.

Overall, I think Sprint definitely has the best version of the TP. As stated above, I prefer it to the ATT version and Verizon's crippled version is just a shame.

You were right about this, and I was wrong. The keys are the same size. What's different is the "give" when you press them. At least on my Pro, the keys feel very flat and do not provide much feedback or spring as compared to the Fuze. The Fuze keys provide a click when you type on them and have a much better feeling to them. It's bad enough on mine (the Pro), I'm wondering if I might have a bad device. I might go to the Sprint store tomorrow and compare it to a new one.

Talking What's this ? There's an imposter in the Ring - No wait... It's a Sprint Look alike

Striking a LOW BLOW to Verizon, Alltel releases the HTC Touch Pro First.

Hmm, Since Verizon is buying Alltel - we will just add this to Verizon's voting button.

So if you like Alltel's Version - Vote for Verizon Above

Enjoy

I personally prefer the Telus version -- less branding, no bloatware, best keyboard of the lot.

The photo I've attached is from Telus, but see my thread for more photos of the real thing.

Talking Here's a snapshot of Verizon's HTC Touch Pro available memory

This was posted on another site by user: bsepub
(please note, it's a very lg picture)

Looks like the available memory is less than the 128mb.

I've updated the ROM version as well above!!!

If anyone has Alltel's memory & rom information
please post and I will updated the information above. Thanks!!!

I heard you can't tether and be on a call at the same time on EVDO, but you can on 3G... that's a big deal to me. Along with the long battery life, small form factor and radio the FUZE wins hands down. I can custumize the rest of the addons. Fuze it is if I can get out of my contract...

GPS

I'm looking to 'pull the trigger' as early as tonight. Have had a SamSung i730 for years... Had Hitachi T1000 before that.

I'm probably switching to Sprint to get my Touch Pro, primary reason being the non locked down GPS. I use ALK CoPilot on my i730 and love it. As I understand it Verizon has the GPS locked down and useable only with their $ navigation option. It'll be nice to drop the external Pharos GPS and cable...

I use the Windows Terminal Client a little bit, but when I need it I NEED IT.

On the i730 I used Verizon's Wireless sync which ran on my PC to push my Email, contacts, and calendar out to my PDA. Our company only supports Blackberrys so this worked for me at the PC level. It doesn't look like Sprint has a equivalent. I'm hoping the link via Outlook Web Access will work. I'm spoiled with how well the Verizon sync has worked.

Edit: Oops almost forgot... I use the Slingbox Mobile also to watch via Slingbox my Replay TV DVR at home. Nice to watch ANY live show, any recorded show, or set something to record from anywhere...

P.P.S. Got one finally...
