I almost fell off my chair when I was able to connect to my Epson Workforce 600 & print emails, pictures & documents via WiFi. I simply typed in the IP address of my printer & selected a printer brand/type from a pull down menu. I did not see my printer listed, so I just choose the brand & selected any old printer in the list. To my surprise that seemed to work just fine. What's really bizzare is that on every computer in my household I had to install drivers & software to be able to print, yet with the Pro, it just printed out of the box.
i have not played with that yet. i looked in there and didnt see dell listed so i stopped there. now ill have to go back in since you had success...
You might have trouble with that one. I *think* Lexmark manufactures Dell printers, and JetCet only supports HP, Epson & Canon. If I were to try one, I guess it would be the HP postscript printer.
Hmm PS didn't work for my Brother 2070N, it simply pumped out bunch of useless pages. What is your printer model Marc? If it's networked then it SHOULD by default be able to emulated as a HP LaserJet since HP's JetDirect protocol is EVERYWHERE lol
I tried the jetcet but could not get it to work via my printers ip address but i did get one of my printers to work via windows share. man being able to prinrt from my phone is sooo cool. i had tried several programs on my 6800 but no luck. Was really happy to get this.. now only if coupons.com would let me print hahaha..

Reason: typo
i have a bunch of HP laserjets around campus that id love to print from. they work fine on my Xp Laptop but it says no response error... i used the same server address as i use on the laptop and connect to the correct wifi.... i really want to get this to work
tried hp laserjet monochrome series but nothing happened. maybe ill try each one until something pops. its not biggie if it doesn't work, i have BT on my printer anyway so its all good, but i do like using all the features of the pro...
Marc, I think it's up to the manufacturer to release the driver for the platform. Maybe Dell/Lexmark never thought people will need to print, let alone other functions on their printers on Windows CE platform.
if you have a dell color laser i just tested mine by using the hp color laser jet driver and that seems to work fine. i can't get it tp print color yet though...
You go to the printer properties and print a test page. IP address will be there, and I did that for all the printers I use at campus. Its funny watchin people watching me print stuff right when i walk in the door wo/ logging on to a pc.
I do however have a problem with some emails, it seams alot of my text emails won't print, but the HTML ones will... funny, you would think it'd be the other way around. Anyone else have this issue?? Also it nice to have an extremely easy way to print pictures.
i just use my BT option on my printer if i need to print form the PRO. id like to use this program since its on the phone but what can you do... cant have it all...
What really blows my mind is what I did last night. I first VPN'd to my work network from the phone, RDP'd a server and emailed myself a file I needed, VPN'd to my house, printed on my home printer, had a friend swing by and grab it and bring it to me, all while sitting at Hooters drinking $1 drafts...
Yes Hooters has $1 drafts till the end of the year...
