After a few hours of use, I am concerned if I can live with a few things about this device.
1. Screen is beautiful, but feels small. Seems smaller than the original Touch.
2. The phone's speaker seems a little distorted during calls.
3. Phone seemed to get pretty hot after only a 10 minute call.
Am I being too hard on it? Any thoughts?

I think once the new wears off, the Mogul will be left looking pretty good by comparison, especially considering the money spent for this device in tough times.

the phone is smaller then the Mogul and i dont like how eveything must be smaller now. what happened to the 660x's screen! i LOVED that screen.. its funny to imagine how we are cramming all that into such a tiny screen as the PRO.
the phone will get hott and will more noticeable because its smaller than the Mogul, you also have a faster Processor and the heat builds up pretty quick so expect it to be warmer than the Mogul. i never had a touch so cant comment on that.
did you apply the audiopara file to increase volume? that file will induce a little distortion but you get louder volume
i dont think your being too hard on it. you know how you want your phone to work and if thats how you feel ..well, thats houw you feel!
considering the phone can be had for 250 bux, i think the cost is manageable. i would NOT pat MSRP for it...

I'll be the first to admit that in the first 2-3 hours of using it, I was getting a bit frustrated. Lack of buttons, had never used the TF3D so was a bit confused where things were, taking me multiple taps to get to things that I could access in 1-2 clicks with the Mogul, etc. However, after having it now for about 36 hours, I'm really starting to like it. Screen is gorgeous, dedicated number row, familiar with the TF3D now so can get to things really quickly. But most importantly, the TP is significantly quicker than the Mogul. Faster Processor but mainly, more memory which is huge in my book. I had a lot of stuff loaded up on my Mogul so I only had around 14mb of RAM free after a soft reset so I really had to watch my memory usage. Definitely limited what I could do (couldn't even run Opera Mobile 9.5, not enough memory). But now with the TP, I can run multiple apps at once and not have to worry about it. That alone is worth the upgrade to me and then when you throw in all the other stuff like the higher resolution screen, extra row of keys, better camera, more compact design, I'd say this is a very worthy update to the Mogul.

I second Marty's comment but still early in the learning curve. It appears to be a better phone than the Mogul but at first blush I miss the Mogul. Except for the fact that my Mogul keyboard started recently to go downhill fast I might wish I still had it. I miss the buttons but I think I may eventually appreciate the setup once I get use to it. After what appeared to be a quick delay a program that I was about to install disappeared from the screen. A number of times things seemed to disappear from the screen while I was attempting to read how to set a feature, etc. When using my finger to scroll I sometimes kicked off the program instead. This happened often to me with the YouTube application. Video's started when I was still attempting to scroll through the list. By the way I don't have fat fingers. Will need a few days before I really get a sense of the device. The only program that installs like a charm is my CoPilot GPS software. My Handango programs are not installing. I changed the device on the site. I wish this Opera version let you set cache on the storage card. I believe that is a registry hack. RSS Hub is a version of Ilium's NewsBreak. I had that on my Mogul. It isn't recognizing the channels I had on the Mogul. I have an email into Ilium. My feelings are also clouded by the difficulty I am having setting up my previous programs and settings.

I've decided to stick with the Mogul. Too many people have complained that for everything they gave, they took something away. Good luck. Hopefully there will be something better to replace the Mogul coming along soon.

Still a bit early to tell, but thought I'd give a go at it...
I'm in agreement completely, there are many features that make this a clear upgrade from the Mogul. However I also agree - it's to early for me to determine which issues are going to be more of a learning curve...
Pros:
- Memory, excellentay
- Screen, amazingly stylish & gorgeous - magnificent!!!
- Love the extra numbers row on the keyboard, but comes with an exchange
[See Below] - Size much smaller in the hand than the Mogul, light years smaller than the ppc6700
- Software additions, are simply awesome. Saved me purchasing Opera Mobile 9.5
- Finally, PRICE!!! WM6.1, VGA, Video Out all for 239.99 + tax. No Way, YES WAY... and after all the phones we've purchased, truly deserved this type of break, YEA!!!
Update: Almost forgot the best part: BestBuy Reward Zone Account: 250 points equals 5.00 gift certificate
Cons: (Not many, but having a major issue with the Battery)
- Battery is only lasting (in stand bye) about 6 hrs. I'm aware of conversations going on - of how to properly discharge and charge the battery, but this is very apparent compared to the Mogul. Shouldn't have to focus this much on the battery since it is new. Will give it several days of charging to see if conditioning gets better.
- We are missing the START key on the keyboard like on the Mogul, which means you may need to use the stylus, then follow up on the keyboard.
- The radio also appears to be weaker than the Mogul. I pretty much had EV @ home most of the time. Tethering on the Mogul with update to Rev.A gave great speeds. I'm noticing that the PRO is bouncing more between 1x and EV.
In fact, some times it's giving a connection error #777, which I'm thinking is due to the weak radio in the phone, hmm...
- I've also had a couple of lock ups. In particular, something very strange happen where the phone got stuck in vibration while idleing (stand bye).
Other than that, Love the phone. Truly a step in the right direction to the ultimate smartphone/PDA. More to come after much testing of configuration changes - especially adjusting the screen brightness setting to change battery life.
Enjoy

i had the diamond and also had the touch flo 2d on the Mogul so i got a pretty good start.. plus i have an itouch so that was a bonus also.
the flo is a new thing for you old button heads. i can slip and slide my way around the thing like nobody's business. i set up my icons in the programs tab and i dont have to use the start menu. in time you guys will get it. im not use to have dedicated numbers so that's a great thing but i was looking to do shift+ to enter numbers and you dont have to do that anymore.
i dont have any complaints other than its a small phone an di dont like small phones. i miss the big 660x screen but thats not a fault of the device. this phone is a clear solid winner and i have not been this satisfied in a PPC phone since..ooh the 660x from the hitachi....
