Backup your Opera Bookmarks & Cookies

Today I swapped my Fuze out for a Pro & didn't want to recreate all of my Opera bookmarks. Furthermore I didn't want to re-authenticate to all of my most visited sites (e.g., PDAPhoneHome). To avoid these situations, I copied the following files from my old device (Fuze) to my new device (Pro):

Bookmarks: \windows\opera9\opera6.adr

Cookies: \windows\opera9\cookies4.dat

NOTE: EXIT OPERA BEFORE DOING THIS

If you found this thread & are using a different device (e.g., Mogul, Tilt, etc.), the directory path for the above files may be different depending on the install path for Opera.

Block Ads in Opera

The attached filter list will block ads from displaying in Opera. This will increase page loading times substantially.

1.) Close Opera
2.) Unzip attachment
3.) Copy to \windows\opera9\ on the Pro or Fuze

this file can be edited in notepad on your PC if you want to add or remove blocked sites.

(This may be specific to the Verizon keyboard)

To be able to get out of full screen mode in Remote Desktop Client:

Go to settings=>Personal=>Buttons
Change Favorite to be the <Right Softkey>

Now on the keyboard pressing the Star key (between green FN and the mail box) will take you out of full screen mode.

An easier way to be able to revert back is to rename "Modue" to "Module.bak" instead. That way the original setting is still sitting there in the registry. Also, a reset may be needed before the change takes effect.

Full Speed USB is the slower USB speed (12Mb/s, in contrast to High Speed USB, 480Mb/s).
