I just ordered the Touch Pro

If you get a discount from Sprint through your company then you can order the phone. Goto Sprint Nextel Discounts | Employee Value Program | EVP Online | Find Your Cellular Discount Plan, Cell Phone, & Accessories

My order won't be complete until I fax them identification information. It is almost hard to believe but the web site says the phone will be shipped in 24 hours. I will fax my identifying information, license and company ID and as long as everything is in order I then give the EVP rep my credit card number. I should have the phone by Monday the latest. That is almost hard to believe.

When I wrote the web address I just said evpdiscount.com/YourCompany and this site added the additional wording. It takes you to a location that is a different page from the one in this paragraph and yet looks correct. You can try either one.

I can't get too excited - It says place your Pre-Order Now. I hopefully will get a real ETA when I speak to the Rep to finish the order.

Nice. I got a 21% discount at Verizon and looks like my company gives me a discount at AT&T and now Sprint. Even cooler if I can get a Pro.

I am sorry if I gave the impression I was able to order the phone for delivery. I tried to correct myself in the message. It is Pre-Order for me also. Remember we were supposedly not allowed to Pre-Order before the 19th or the 15th with Telesales based on the rumors. This is a big deal and we may just get it before the others.

Based on rumors Sprint wants to move us to a more expensive data plan but this web site doesn't mention any change in plan rates. We should get an idea of delivery ETA's and any plan changes after talking with the EVP rep.

I just saw your edit. Are you saying the web site mentions the Simply Everything plan?

It does, but at full price. I'll take the Everything 900 minute plan at only $65. I can add my company's conference line (my most dialed number) as my 'unlimited home' number for another $4. Should be more than enough.

Sorry for all the edits, just excited to see the phone available for pre-order, a $300 price tag, and a discount plan.

I am with you. It is pretty exciting but I am holding back a bit on the excitement until I get my employee confirmation and submitted the credit card. Hopefully tomorrow morning everything will be taken care of and I will have an ETA. First one to get a confirmation of the deliver time has to post a message.

I think the only advantage EVP ordering provides is that I can say my order is in the queue. I only got a $75 rebate and I was told I can't use the $100 mail in rebate. The phone should be shipped on Oct 19th the release date of the phone. Either he hasn't received the delay message for Nov 2 or maybe it will still go out on the Oct 19th. In any case the order is in and I have next day delivery.

The one good news and maybe the reason why I don't qualify for the mail in rebate, I can keep my $15 data plan and phone plan.

time, if you have had your phone for less than 2 years then you cant get the mail in rebate on the evp site. well none of us will qualify for the evp rebate because this phone came out in june 07 which is no where near 2 years. if you filter the way the phones sort on the evp page to less than 2 years (12-22+ or the one below 23+ ) you will see that the MIR is not there. also you can log in to your account page and click on the subscriber agreement time and that will show you when you started your current contract.

i will fax my info once i get home in a couple hours to lock it in. im supposed to get the diamond i have swapped out for the pro thru htc but i cant wait until then..i want it when timezone has his! LOL...

also, when i was at the pro launch here in ATL, the htc engineer stated they have the units al ready to go but sprint pushed back the date to allow htc to beef up their stock before releasing to the public. sprint believes this phone will sell much better than the 68 did....
