Touch Pro Forum???

I said many years ago we will know when the existing phone is ready for a refresh when the threads for each day barely take up a page. When I first got the Mogul this forum had a half dozen pages in less than a day. The messages were flying faster than bullet. Of course it is no secret that the Touch Pro is about to be released. In the past PDAPhoneHome was fast to open up a new sub forum for the next phone so we could endure the continued delays as a group. Not to mention enjoy the crazy rumors that always seemed to top the previous rumor.

PDAPhoneHome, Is it not time for a Touch Pro forum? We maybe less than a month and a half from its introduction.

I think it is a monument to the stability of this platform that there are less posts. Imagine if this were Vista for the PDA......

I hear the Touch Pro will be out in three months. I have 11 months to run on my contract. I'll definitely get it to get the VGA screen (end of discussion).

At PPC Geeks they are talking about it coming out around Oct 19. Of course there maybe delays. I hope we get the forum setup here so we can get some excitement over here.

Does anyone know how much the touch pro will cost without an upgrade credit?

I am a SERO user on Sprint. My contract still has 11 months and since they changed the SERO program and no longer offer my plan I figured I am grandfathered in and will not be getting any upgrade credits anytime soon.

To get a SERO plan you now have to not only have a Sprint Employee's email address but also their employee ID and they only offer one plan, the "Simply Everything".

I couldn't be happier with my current plan, 500 min/month, unlimited data, unlimited text messaging, nights starting at 7, unlimited weekends for $30.00 + tax.

Everything is speculation. There is a comment suggesting with a one or two year contract the phone will be in the $350 to high $400 range. A lot better than the $1000 I was first reading. Some are saying SERO customers may not have first dibbs on the phone unless I suppose you leave SERO. There is a history of business customers getting first dibbs on Sprint phones for a short period of time. If you are receiving a discount because of the company you work for then you are a business customer.

The big unknown is whether Sprint is going to force everyone onto the everything plan or whatever it is called. Then even the non-SERO customers with $15 data plans will be a thing of the past. With the economy the way it is maybe Sprint will not tamper with the grandfathered plans.

It seemed a few years ago you would have setup a new forum for a new HTC phone quicker than we could blink an eye. You also were more excited about the approaching introduction before we even knew what the thing looked like or so it seemed. I apologize if there are personal issues preventing you from setting this up and I know it probably isn't the highest thing on your list. Still, I am wondering if you have lost some of the excitement of the past. I hope not.

Thank you for setting up the forum and good luck with selling the house and moving. I know what it takes to sell and move to a new home. The process consumes 100% of ones time.
