Well, I am pretty bummed, Launch was great. Got a phone. However it is the touch Diamond. Not the pro as it was supposed to be. According to the HTC rep is was because they did not arrive in time.

The good side is that my rep is going to be able to swap the diamond I got for a pro as soon as he can get his hands on them.

Sorry to hear that, but kind of good for us. How many folks will have a comparison between the Diamond and the Pro?

At least your pro is closer than mine...

yeah the diamond is cool, but after playing with the pro this diamond just doesn't cut it. but its free so i cant complain.

the htc engineer also stated they just didnt have enough units to spread out over the city to city launch which is why we didnt get our hands on it.the htc rep stated i coould email him and he will swap the diamond out for the pro. although depending on how quick they act i may have to go out and buy it.. i cant sit aroud on launch day while everyone has the pro and im waiting for red tape to get my phone....y'all know how it is.

drew, you and i must have been in different groups and its a shame i was not able to meet you. the entire launch was pretty sweet, the mobitrol class (is that whats its called? ) was VERY slick!!! they had a citrix class but i know citrix pretty well since i use their client all the time out in the field, but still it was great.

but man the pro (and diamond) are tiny! i didnt know they were that small! i don tlike tiny phones. the hitachi G and 660x were NICE cause of the screen,, but the pros screen looks just like a psp screen.. very slick.

the htc engineer stated nov 2 for release due to the fact sprint wants them to have more on hand for launch. he also stated that if they get the stock in sooner they will of course release them sooner than nov 2. so it between oct 19 and nov 2. bascially htc said give them 2 weeks.

i dont like not having a keyboard.... but ill manage i guess.

also it was cool to have the manilla 2d running on my mougl. i showed it to the htc rep and the htc engineer and they were like.. cool! lol

there was a microsoft guy there too. so all in all it was a wonderful time!!!!!!!!

awesome.. thanks for the update. how come you guys go the diamond free? B/c of work? I was figuring the oct 19th date would be kind of rough for sprint, so nov 2nd sounds pretty accurate. Thanks for the update

Yeah sorry I missed you.. The Mobi stuff was very slick..I am plannign to do a bit more research on it to see if we can use some of its features to better manage our Wyse Winterms.. Citrix was a waste of time as we too use it.. was pretty funny though, in our citrix demo he could not get his connection. His battery died...

At the beginning of the event I was the "slimmer" of the 2 big guys at the back left corner of the U shaped table..

FYI.. the "hard" reset feature was removed in the sprint Touch Diamond...
Only way to reset is to go into system and clear memory..
