Button/touch locking application

After suffering for years, I think I have finally found a good answer.

I have used a xv6800 since they were released. I had an issue with buttons all over the dang thing. If an appointment reminder or anything else would wake it up in my pocket, or in a case, AND anything was hitting one of the many buttons, the PDA would start emailing/texting/phoning or whatever, all by itself. Butt dialing as the one commercial calls it.

Along comes the TP2. Nowhere near as many buttons on it. It has to be better, right. Well, maybe a little, but not much. I was constantly having the volume turned all the way to mute, or even had it dial out a couple of times. Same problems.

I've tried a number of phone lock programs. Most of them are bloatware that don't concentrate on the original job. Using a sledge hammer to insert a thumb tack so to speak. They become more of a nuisance then the original problem. And the built in lock application is a pain to use.

Well last week, I stumbled upon an application called TouchLockPro. So far so good. I have it set to lock on wake up. It will unlock above a certain light level, or if I pull the stylus, or if on external power, or you can also use the G-sensor. Generally, I don't even know it is there. It is locked when in my holster, and unlocked in the light. Some of the best programs are the ones you don't have to think much about.

Thanks to the developers for this one.

Thanks! I was just starting my search for a similar tool. I've had my Verizon TP2 since it was first offered and had the phone hang up on people as I tried to pull it out of my holster. I'll forward this to a few folks who also have the TP2 and complain about the same problem.
