Blutooth headset operation??

Ok I hold the main headset button down to make a call "Call Dr. Smith". Now its time to hang up. How do I do it? Pressing it once makes a pretty beep like it used to in my old phone (non TP2) but it also used to actually hang up the call too. How do you do it now or is this programmable some how?

This seems to be a common problem with the TP2 and there is a general agreement that it's due to the BT stack. No one seems to have found a solution. Most seem to agree that the best hope is a fix in the ROM update.

I had the same problem with hanging up TP2 calls via the Bluetooth headset. I tested it using a Jawbone Prime, Jawbone 1 and Jawbone 2. Also tried a Voyager pro. All had the same issue with the VZW TP2. I troubleshot the issue with Jawbone support and they replaced the headset which is on its way to me now but I don’t think it would have helped. They just replaced it because they were out of ideas.

I also trouble shot the issue with HTC and the tech recognized the issue immediately admitted that the Jawbone headsets were not fully compatible with the TP2 due the exact issue I was having. The Tech also said that somoe other brand headsets that are having the same issue with the TP2. They would not identify any other compatible or incompatible headset models but they said they were working on a compatibility list and would make it available upon request as a later date. I called HTC at a later date and they denied any knowledge if the issue. Your mileage may vary.

I was finally able to verify that VZW was also aware of the issue via several sources and my rep. They would not comment to solution and they could not tell me if the pending WM6.5 update for the VZW TP2 would address the problem. One VZW tech said that most of internal VZW tech bulletins he was looking at on the TP2 seemed to revolve around similar Bluetooth issues. I was able to get my 30 day trial of the TP2 extended slightly waiting for the 6.5 update but I was as the last day approached I had to return the phone.

I spend at least two hours a day in my car and need to end calls via my BT headset but I sure miss the TP2. For now it’s back to my old i760 which by the way works flawlessly with all of the BT headsets I’ve ever used and the ones mentioned above.

If anyone is interested you may want to test the HTC Imagio since its running WM6.5. This model likely has the same BT stack that the TP2 WM 6.5update assuming the TP2 ever returns to VZW stock.

If anyone else out there is running the stock TP2 with WM6.1 please let us know if you can hang up your calls using your BT the headset, please report the make and Model.. Thanks.

Anyone having the same BT issues with the ATT Tilt2 running WM6.5?

Anyone out there running the ATT Tilt 2 (ATT Touch Pro 2) and hanging up calls from your Jawbone Prime or other Bluetooth headset? I ask because the ATT Tilt 2 was released with WM 6.5 and I’m curious if it is having the same issue. If they are not having the same issues with Bluetooth then there may be hope that VZW's unconfirmed TP2 WM 6.5 update will help improve the Bluetooth stack issues. At the moment im very concerned about VZWs commitment to this device.

Thanks..
