I was at the local Verizon store today playing around with an Imagio, to see if it was where I wanted to go. It was difficult to get a grasp on how the phone really was, as folks had modded it so much, but one thing really irritated me. Every time I used either IE or Opera in landsacpe, I kept hitting the volume rocker, which kept me from surfing the web. Is it just me, or is this really in the wrong place?

It took me 3 days to stop hitting coming from the I760 to the Imagio. I dont think it is is the wrong place. It just takes time to get used to it. I had to make a counscious effort to avoid them for 3 days and now it is 2nd nature. I think it would be awkard if they put them in the middle and if you turn the phone sideways, the top or bottom would be the same.
If you can handle the touchscreen, I really believe it is the best WM phone out there. Keep in mind this is coming from somone who reluctantly bought it because the HTC TP2 had Windows Mobile 6.1 on it and I did not want to get my phone all configured and then upgrade to 6.5 and start over.

All of this seems to make sense. I actually prefer the Imagio to the TP2 (I think) because on my I760 I'm constantly mistyping, and the virtual KB gives you a tactile and visual confirmation of what you're typing. I'm also thinking of waiting until the Leo/HD2 comes out, as it has a much faster processor, and a capacitive screen.
Pick one is best for you. I will go ahead and tell you the new IE is much much better than the ones that came 6.1 and before. However, Opera is better than IE and comes on the phone.
However, I am not a big web browserr but I do like the bottom part that allows you to zoom in and out without touching the screen.
I dont really want to push anyone towards a particular phone because it is so objective to the users needs.
I will say that the Imagio and Pro 2 both make great business phones while the TP 2 is a little better on the business end with the slide out keyboard and full duplex speakerphone but the Imagio is a great business phone with more multimedia capabilities but a touch QWERY.
Just stay away from the dark side (IPhone) and you guys will be fine
I will add a vote for the speakers on the TP2 - they are awesome. The best I have had sinc the stereo ones that were on the 730. If the imagio does not have them, to me that is a big downer.

I do like that you just turn the phone over to go into speaker phone on the Imagio but I agree they should have full duplex.
The question is why doesnt the TP 2 have all of the featues of the Imagio and why doesnt the imagio have all the features of the TP 2 (except the keyboard which I understand since they wanted to make it a slim device).
Between the TP2 and Imagio, they could make the perfect phone!
For what it is worth, the Imagio does not sound like half duplex. It almost seems like 3/4th duplex. It is hard to explain.
The TP2 does have the best speakerphone I have seen on a cell though.
