Does anyone know when Verizon expects to have these back in stock?
1.) My regional store said "they were having serious problems with the TP2 and are going to discontinue it," but that sound ludicrous to me as it appears to be their flagship business phone.

Anyone know?

hope not as this was the phone I had settled on to replace my Q as soon as verizon finishes the alltel acquisition in my area

This is really wierd because I have had my TP2 since the day after launch with less issues than I have ever had with a smartphone. I wonder if the "serious problems" are in manufacturing or logistics because I have heard very little to no complaints on any forums about issues with the phone itself. Personally, discontinued or not - I am glad I have this phone and would take it over the omnia 2 or imagio any day. In fact, I would not take either of those mentioned phones as they lack a keyboard.

No way that is true. I've had one since they sent demos out a month and a half before they released and it has been the best damn WinMo phone i've ever used. No issues at all. I wonder if they didn't plan for enough stock and they sold out faster then they thought?

I wonder if they are holding back to put WM 6.5 on them... from what I've read of WM6.5 I think I would like to stay with 6.1.,,,

Here's another thought .. maybe they are delaying it until the imagio is out.. They seem awfully similar in specs. Maybe they didn't want to compete with themselves on a new launch...

then ya know...Uh Oh.. the black helicopters are back.. I gotta go!

I am giving up on waiting for Verizon's re-stock of the TP2.

Today I'll go see whether AT&T has released the Tilt 2 (basically same phone, different name; all GSM and supposedly better battery life). It was supposed to be in stores today...

I just got off the phone with the Sacremento Verizon Sales call center. He said that the TP2 will be in stock tomorrow and to call him around 12pm PST and I should be able to order it.....Could the wait finally be over????

Good luck... I'm still waiting in Atlanta as well. I was going to look at the AT&T "Tilt 2", but they don't have those in stock either yet.

I really wish the Verizon stores would at least keep a demo of the TP2 so we could play with it before deciding to order. (Also I would love to do a side-by-side comparison with the Imagio, which Verizon also does not have in the store - though you can order that one.)

You couldnt pay me enough to use at&t regardless of the model. They have HORRIBLE coverage compared to verizon.

I called about an hour ago, and they said it's still showing "Low Stock" in red, which apparently means "out of stock" (several VZW employees have said that). Anyone else have any different luck? I'm dying to ditch my Saga and get this phone...

I was able to order a demo from my sales rep so I doubt they are just going to axe it. Who knows though.

I have had mine from Verizon for a few weeks now, and its EASILY been by FAR the best WM phone, or phone period i have ever had.. I got it from my business online rep 2 days after i placed the order, WITH 4 extra styluses, an extra battery, a new bluetooth...

I have heard two weeks from a number of people.

I called several times yesterday with no luck and then after I just got back from watching the Boise State / Tulsa game on ESPN and saw a post at the Verizon forums about others getting the phone yesterday afternoon by calling (800) 922-0204 and asking for the upgrade. I did the same and low and behold I was able to order the phone last night at 9:30pm.... Delivery on Friday ... should have a confirmation and delivery status update this morning. She said that the order would not have gone through if it was not in stock! This has made my day yesterday.....

Now ... It only gets better!!!!!!

The phone was now 149.99 after rebate and with my new every 2 it is $49.99... I called in since I was charged $199.99 (have to do a $100 mail in rebate to get to $99.99).. Anyway. She gave me a $50.00 credit to my account. I had to e-mail her the links and screen captures to prove the price since what she saw was the $199.99...After that she said there was a price change overnight.

Anyways, I have a new TP2 arriving tomorrow morning with a final price after rebate of $49.99...

What a way to start the day. And the Broncos even won last night... Can't have a much better 2 day stretch and the tri-fecta will be when my new TP2 arrives tomorrow morning.

On a side note to those out there... I just went back to the link above and it is now back to $199.99 after rebate... I must have been lucky catching it before they realized their mistake...

Thanks for the detailed post! On the phone w/VZW now, trying to get them to upgrade my Saga because of all the issues. It's showing in stock in the Midwest and South, but orders are by "direct fulfilment only" (have to order straight from the warehouse). I'm hoping I don't have to physically go into the store, but I'll do whatever it takes to get this dang phone!

Hi all, I called Verizon yesterday and was able to order a tp2. I received email with tracking #. it will be here tomarrow!! I cant wait to get it. If you mention that it is out of stock they will give you the instant rebate instead of mail in on. After ne2 and rebate phone cost me 105.99 after tax. i cant wait.

It's listed back instock on on B2B corporate site.. been OOS for a while now.

you should post your screen shots.. maybe we can use them too. I keep hearing reports that the phone is listed at 149.99 but I have yet to see it.
BTW it shows as being in stock on line in my area as well (northern/Central CA).

Hi All, I'm in Eastern PA and just ordered one online successfully with next day delivery. I called my local store and they said they won't have one for another week or two. The online order did NOT say anything about being out of stock, although while looking online earlier today it said out of stock...but not now. Hopefully I'll have mine tomorrow...thanks for all your feedback. Switching from a much loved SCH-i760 so I hope this is better!
