Folks, I'm having an interesting problem with my Sprint TP2 - about 50% of the time I try to hang up a call, neither the call control button on my BT headset nor the on-screen "End Call" button will end the call. The hardware button DOES seem to work all the time, although many times it's hard to tell if I caused the call to disconnect or it timed out from the other end.
I have minimal mods on the phone, and am running SPB Mobile Shell instead of TouchFlo.
Anyone else seen this problem? It's annoying as heck finding out the line has been open for several minutes of (hopefully!) silence after leaving someone a message.
did this happen prior to the install of SPB? can you turn off SPB and see if it makes a difference?
you may also try removing the battery (and thus removing power to the device which a software reset does not do), wait about 2 minutes, reinsert and try to see if that made a difference...
I've turned SPB off and that hasn't made a difference. I haven't tried not using my BT headset to see if it's the stack. I'll try pulling the battery, also.
I am getting a similar issue with the Verizon version of the phone in my car. I hit the end call button on my steering wheel and nothing happens. I hit it on my nav screen and nothing happens - only way to end it is to pick up the phone and end it there. I have embarassed myself on a few voice mails as a result of thinking the call had ended before it had . . .
Last night I was listening to my own voicemail and NOTHING would end the call, not even the hardware button. Pressing either the BT headset button, the phone hardware hangup button, or the soft button on the keypad would just make a soft "boing" noise and otherwise no action.
Fortunately by the time I decided I would have to take the battery out, Suzy Sprint got tired of waiting and hung up on me.
Sure would be nice to understand the cause better... sometimes you can go 3-4 calls in a row and everything will work exactly as expected - and then get a string of failures. Very puzzling and frustrating.
