On their website they have posted the first date and its for our TP2 - October/November 2009! So it looks like its coming VERY soon everyone.

It amazes me it is going to take even this long. The TP2 comes out just weeks before 6.5 comes out. At least in the US. I have to believe they also tested this phone with 6.5 or they should have tested it. HTC, Sprint, Verizon, T-Mobile should have had it ready on the 6.5 launch date.

The clock is ticking to a possible spring launch of Win 7.0 and what hopefully is a blow the doors down group of phones. The HD2 with improved performance and a capacitive screen suggests as much. I want to at least have one or two scratches before Spring. Bring it on 6.5

Correction: Spring date for RTM which means a Sept - Oct launch. Cool, we get to use these phones for a year.

Not sure I will bother with 6.5 - it uses more memory (at least in the cooked versions on the TP) and I do not really like the new interface. I am thinking I might stick with 6.1 with the improvements that HTC makes to the interface and settings. Does anyone know of any other really big differences besides some bigger buttons and titanium today screen?

For me the biggest difference will be IE. Unless I am wrong the new version will handle flash and work like the desktop version. I want to get off of Opera.
