HTC support Hotfix Issue

I attempted to run the Hotfix "enhance the internal GPS capability in the HTC Touch Pro2" posted on the HTC support site for my Verizon HTC Pro 2.

It gave me the error "ERROR [294] : INVALID VENDOR ID"

Is this something Verizon is blocking? Any ideas?

BTW...what's with the search on this site? I'm getting a Javascript that runs and freezes IE for 5 minutes or more before I get prompted to stop/continue running the script.

Don't forget that Verizon isn't the only one with a Touch Pro 2. This might be for GSM devices only, or for one that isn't Verizon.

its more than likely the GSM no branded version which is why your getting that error. if you go to HTC's site to lok for updates, look in the USA section or atleast make sure its for US CDMA carriers. typically HTC send the updates to the end user (verizon, sprint, etc...) and the end user packs them for the customer..
