assisted dialing is adding the prefix (+1 i believe) to the front of your number. global is not really neccessary in the US since you cant use any other carrier out of the box (some have inserted other SIM cards though but using it with the standard Sprint SIM will lock out any US GSM carriers). setting it to CDMA may even increase battery life some since it wont be hunting for GSM.
