Anyone who has ordered their TP2 recently, how long did it take for Verizon to ship. I placed my order Tuesday morning and so far nothing. They used to be pretty fast.
I ordered mine Monday and just received a FedEx tracking number a few minutes ago...it's supposed to arrive tomorrow.
I agree this is unusually slow for them...I called them both yesterday and this morning when I still hadn't received a shipping confirmation e-mail. One of the people I spoke to muttered something about it being a "low inventory" item, so maybe they're running low due to high demand.
I ordered mine Sunday night. I had not heard anything and tuesday night I called them. she said it had not been processed and she would process it. I got it today. (Thursday)

Apparently they have gotten really backlogged. I just called them and they just finished processing Sunday's orders this morning and are now working on Monday and Tuesday. Also both of my orders were screwed up so I was able to get that fixed before it got to processing and delayed yet again.
Their site for a bit yesterday was showing it as 'out of stock' so maybe they're just running low on inventory for a bit and took extra time to deal with some orders.
I ordered mine Tuesday morning via the web after speaking with a rep who verified they had the phone in stock. Of course that information is only as honest as the person giving it out. Web site stated the phone "normally" ships out the next business day. Was also given free overnight delivery.
Both yesterday and today I did the whole online order tracking thing on the Verizonwireless website which gave no information other than "we have your order...try back tomorrow". Also gave them a call and the rep couldn't find any info about my order even though I was able to give her an order number - oh joy.
1:40pm - Just spoke to someone in the online order center who was able to verify the order was in their system. As per this guy they are being bombarded with a high order volume of all phones due to the specials they are currently running. He said nothing about the TP2 not being in stock. Also said the free overnight shipping was to help compensate for the slow order fulfillment. Again...that's the story I was fed so who knows the reality of it.
I will supposedly receive an email with shipping info once it actually ships out their door.
Guess we'll see.....
So much for having it for over the weekend to play around with it.
Edit: 4:15pm - Just received email notification of phone shipment with included tracking number. Guess I'll be seeing it on Monday. Now, if I had only ordered a day earlier.....

That is about what I am going through, still haven't received a tracking number yet.
I ordered mine last Wed night and it was shipped on Thursday. When I placed the order I asked for overnight but they sent it second day so I didn't get it until this past Monday.
I had a problem with the device and had the store order me another one on Tuesday and they sent it Fed Ex overnight which I got on Wed.
When I checked the website on Wed evening they were showing out of stock.
The web site shows them out of stock still, but I got notice at 6 PM today (yes Sunday) my order is processed, so it should ship tomorrow I would guess. Maybe they will show in stock then.
ordered mine sept 23rd. finally a msg on my verizon account today (sept 28th) that it will be shipped in 1 to 2 business days. several phone calls told me that they were seriously backedup. but i never did get an e-mail from them. the only notification i got was on the verizon website where i checked my order. an hour after i ordered mine online on sept 23rd, i noticed that they had an out of stock notice.
you may have just missed the cut. i think i read somewhere that they had sold out an initial stock of several thousand devices. so there is heavy demand. i paid $150.00 for mine. i wonder if that is a good price or not. i was originally going to wait for the omnia 2 but i was so impressed with the demo model verizon brought over to me that i forgot all about the omnia 2 (especially after my experience with the orig omnia for the last 8 months which i now use only as a paperweight).
