Do I need to reformat microsd card if going from 6800 to Touch Pro 2

I've got a 16Gb microsd card in my 6800 and was wondering if I need to reformat the card to work in my Touch Pro2 or will it play everything off the card normally?

I'm still going to use the same programs to access the files.

I wouldn't think you would need to format it... Most people don't reformat them when you buy them new? just stick them in the slot!
