I only paid $49. The website on Thursday was $249 with $100 online discount and my NE2 of $100. I called to ask if this was true and they told me it was. I just looked at my bill and I was charged $62 with tax. I also noticed they raised the base price back up to $299 again though.

One one the way!!

Just submitted my order. Finally upgrading my i730. (I think someone said something about former 730 owners rallying together....) The screen started to go this past week. I got my money's worth out of it though. Can't wait to see the screen on the TP2. Too bad I had to add a data plan......guess I'll have to start using some data again. Haven't really done much data since they turned off Q2N. No going back now.

I went by a verizon store today and asked about the TP2... I got a mix of reactions from "ooo whats that?" to "oh you mean the Touch Pro (1)" to "Oh there only available on line" so while I was wasting my time looking making the secruity beeprs go off looking at the other phones and CSR comes up and sez is this what your looking for? And he handed me the display dummy. The manger leered at him cause I'm sure he wasn't supposed to bring it our yet.. but I knew about it and I guess they figured what could hurt.. The Manager also said they get thier shipments on Thursday (8th) usually when they get the Dummy the real thing is not far behind..
I don't think I have to give anyone a review.. we already know how the phone is.. Just thought I would give everyone a sighting report!

HTC TP2 is still listed as "out of stock" when I try to order it online. However, there is a new Smartphone listed today by the name "HTC Imagio". It looks to me to be a TP2 without the keyboard. Anyone know anything about it?

You are on track with the imagio - same basic size as TP2, same screen. It is supposed to be more "media-centric" and has some sort of TV service on board.

Upgraded from my XV6800 a couple weeks ago and I have absolutely no regrets. I installed the cleanup cab, but I don't really know if that is necessary when I compare the speed of my tp2 to the 6800. It's no comparison. The tp2 has very fast reaction time for almost every action.

Showed it to my banker today and she said it was faster then her iPhone.
So far I'm very pleased. GPS with Googlemaps is great, and I tethered it for the first time last week easily.

So did I. I loved my i760 and the TP2 is like the natural progression from the i760. Very powerful and since I'm used to the i760 bulk, the TP2 feels natural.

The Verizon website said it was sold out, but I called VX business support and they said they have a ton of them in the warehouse. Got mine w/ free next day shipping. Very happy so far.

So has anyone gotten burned by Vzw forcing you into a new calling plan when getting this phone? I found out the other day that my current calling plan (not data) does not qualify for this phone.. I have a older plan with 1000 anytime minutes ...to get this phone Vzw is telling me I must switch to a Nationwide calling plan. to get the equivalent features I will have to pay 2 to three times more! It seems they are blackmailing old customers into more expensive plans when they want to upgrade their phones. I've gotten the same tune reguarding my wife's line and she doesn't use a PDA phone. What really gets me is that for years they've made a big deal about how they will never change my plan.. I can always get a new phone and keep my calling plan! If they want me to change my calling plan .. I'll do it with another carrier. So much for customer loyalty! I've been with Verizon for over 12 yrs!
Not happy about this...
I was hoping to use my NE2 for this phone.. but I may take the opportunity of not being in contract to move on...

Just ordered mine today. Will be here Monday.

From i760 to XV6800 (meh) back to i760 (once patched for EVDO issue) only to lockup and stop installing apps (verizon, assurion, and samsung wouldn't help me) then to Saga....

The saga is ok but annoying me with a few issues. Plus contract up.. time for new toys. So I am back on PPH to post with you all...
